In preparation for emergencies during peacetime, the Readiness Directorate undertakes the following tasks:

Organizing lists of Ministry and affiliated entity employees, including residential addresses and phone numbers.
Organizing lists of all vehicles, and identifying transport vehicles for employee accommodation and travel routes (to and from).
Preparing a plan to secure overnight parking for employee transport vehicles in Ministry garages or nearby government facilities.
Preparing documents for tactical headquarters (main, alternate, reserve) and ensuring their readiness.
Ensuring communication readiness in internal and external operational headquarters.
Verifying the readiness of shelters or evacuation areas near the Ministry to accommodate employees.
Participating in preparing the Ministry's security plan under the supervision of the specialized Deputy Minister.
Preparing a schedule for movement to alternative headquarters, specifying the necessary timelines.
Defining job duties for all employees in the headquarters.
Inspecting and testing personal protective equipment available in the Ministry.
Preparing and organizing a plan for evacuating the Ministry's main buildings.
Preparing the readiness plan and linking measures to real timelines through practical exercises.
Organizing registers for monitoring entry and exit from the Ministry (for employees, visitors, and vehicles).
Forming self-protection groups within specified ratios (firefighting, evacuation, first aid, rescue) and ensuring their understanding of duties according to the civil defense plan.
Verifying the readiness and validity of firefighting equipment.
Preparing shift schedules in the operational headquarters and monitoring compliance.
Preparing lists of competent personnel to work in the operational headquarters and defining their tasks.
Supervising readiness offices in affiliated entities and communicating with them regularly to exchange information.
Coordinating cooperation with the tactical headquarters at the Prime Minister's Office (Special Branch) regularly.
Coordinating cooperation with the General Mobilization Directorate through the Ministry's mobilization liaison officer.
Inspecting the strategic reserve in the Ministry.
Ensuring the readiness of materials packaged for the armed forces in coordination with the mobilization officer.
